Police join search for missing man

POLICE were last night searching for a vulnerable man who walked out of a nursing home.Edward Bailey, 57, from Walker, Newcastle, was staying at the Parklands home, in Station Road, Seaham, east Durham.At about 11.30am yesterday, he left the building.Police, including the force helicopter, searched the area.

Mr Bailey, known as Ted, normally lives with his wife Margaret.He has not taken his medication and has limited communication skills.Mr Bailey is 5ft 3in, has what police described as a large stomach and wears glasses.He was wearing dark blue jogging bottoms, black and white trainers and a royal blue shirt and a sheepskin jacket.
